Essentiae produces liqueurs by following natural methods and the ancient recipes of the Ligurian Mediterranean tradition in an artisan workshop created and operating in Castelnuovo Magra in the Colli di Luni.
The Essentiae Opificio was founded thanks to a meeting between Diego Bosoni, a wine grower and producer with a family company, and Fiorella Stoppa, a great expert in the artisan preparation of liqueurs according to local tradition.
Fiorella has produced liqueurs since the seventies when she started out in her little workshop in La Spezia and accrued long experience in studying and painstakingly seeking out ancient local recipes.
At the beginning of 2000, a meeting with Diego led her to Ca’ Lvnae, a place of reception for the Cantine Lvnae, where Fiorella became the driving force of the Essentiae workshop.
Here, maintaining the artisan nature of the work of a lifetime, every stage of the process is carried out by hand, from the preparation of the infusions to the labelling. Diego Bosoni and Fiorella Stoppa personally supervise the preparation of all the liqueurs.
Every liqueur is prepared with raw materials of the highest quality, often locally grown, exclusively in the season of their harvest. The processing of these raw materials is done with the ancient method of cold infusion, ruling out the use of dyes and preservatives. Just as nature prefers.
Through the sensibility and experience of Fiorella combined with the passion and experimental spirit of Diego, Essentiae Lvnae reinterprets ancient recipes, creating unique liqueurs every time.
